Tiffany & Co. today unveils the third and final phase of the Blue Book 2024 launch: Tiffany Céleste from the fall High Jewelry collection. The collection celebrates Jean Schlumberger ’s boundless imagination and fascination with the mysteries of the universe. Tiffany’s Artistic Director of Jewelry and High Jewelry, Nathalie Verdeille, highlights Tiffany & Co.’s homage to the works of this timeless designer with four new chapters: Owl on a Rock, Phoenix, Unicorn and Star Burst.
And each chapter reinterprets an iconic Jean Schlumberger creation, including his most iconic Tiffany & Co. design: the Bird on a Rock. Check it out!
“Each chapter began with an intensive study of the subjects or themes that inspired it. For Tiffany Céleste’s fall launch, the Star Burst, Phoenix, Owl on a Rock and Unicorn chapters reference archived Jean Schlumberger masterpieces, such as his Phoenix brooch,” said Nathalie Verdeille, Chief Artistic Officer, Tiffany & Co. “Each new design is an ode to Jean Schlumberger’s boundless creativity.”
Jean Schlumberger’s Bird on a Rock model is updated with “Owl on a Rock” pins featuring the nocturnal bird perched on a “moonstone.” The owl pins represent the mystery, magic and spirit of the starry sky and depict the Bird on a Rock at night, highlighting the spirit of the starry sky.
Each owl has a distinct personality and character that complements the gemstone it is perched upon. Black opals, moonstones, tanzanites and celestial star sapphires capture the look and feel of the moon and night sky.
epresenting the mythological bird that symbolizes rebirth, the Phoenix motif bursts into flames and rises from the ashes to gain new life. Highlighting the “phoenix” motif, the fiery red color is reminiscent of the gemstones featured in this theme. And emblematizing the hues of phoenix flames, a pin and ring feature a fire opal with Umba sapphires, while other designs feature rubellites. A necklace features 17 cushion-cut rubellites weighing a total of 73 carats.
A mythical creature, the unicorn captured Jean Schlumberger’s imagination with its striking spiraling horn. Taking inspiration from Jean Schlumberger’s Crazy Twist designs, this theme highlights diamond-encrusted twists with rich purple and pink sapphires. Featuring an imaginative unicorn brooch that showcases a magical cushion-cut bicolor tourmaline weighing over 25 carats.
The Star Burst chapter is an ode to galaxies with starburst activity, among the most luminous in the universe. Displaying brilliant luminosity, this chapter features a necklace with six oval crystal opals in cabochons totaling over 64 carats and diamonds.
The Maison will also welcome new designs from the previously unveiled chapters: Apollo, Arrow, Ray of Light and Shooting Star, for the fall iteration. Each creation rediscovers Jean Schlumberger’s iconic interpretations of the sun, moon, stars, distant galaxies and fantasy worlds.
