Through aesthetics, technique, and a special selection of gemstones, Chanel’s new Haute Joaillerie Sport collection celebrates the Maison ‘s sporting spirit , fusing timeless elegance with modern functionality . Crafted by Patrice Leguéreau, Director of the Chanel Jewelry Creation Studio, Haute Joaillerie Sport combines precious and high-tech materials: light yet durable aluminum takes on new hues; low-density, high-strength carbon fiber is the raw material for an ultra-light bracelet; enamel expands the color palette to enhance the nuances of the stones.

“I was inspired by Chanel’s sporty style, which is an integral part of the house ’s history : the elegance of the line and the freedom of movement,” explains Leguéreau of this launch, which once again highlights Gabrielle Chanel’s vision when she launched a Sport atelier within her Haute Couture house in 1921.

The new collection features sleek, elegant volumes with clean, soft contours. Gabrielle Chanel’s symbols are reinterpreted: the number 5 in a chronometer-style font, the lion in a coat of arms, and the star as a symbol of victory. The logo was incorporated into jewelry for the first time with an openwork pattern.

Other distinctive features of these jewels are the innovative connection and crimping systems, inspired by the world of sport. The clasps and fittings are no longer hidden but placed at the center of the pieces: a redesigned carabiner in the shape of the number 5, a twist lock borrowed from the iconic 2.55 bag, and clusters of buckles and pins. Chanel’s quilted weave transforms into a supple mesh adorned with motifs reminiscent of play, challenges, and triumphs. And the tubular chain, resembling a cord, was specially developed for Haute Joaillerie Sport .
