Restaurant Secret

This restaurant seeks inspiration from outside Bahia, but keeps its heart and soul in its proposal to value local flavors and promote Bahian ingredients in haute cuisine. Segreto Ristorantino brings the basis of Italian cuisine to Salvador, creating tasting menus in an exclusive space with only 18 seats. IG: @segretoristorantino

Origin

The purpose of Origem, as the name of the restaurant suggests, is to rescue Bahian identity, memory and culture through taste. This is how recipes like “abarajé” were born, a combination of the local classics abará and acarajé, served with vatapá, and other delicacies, such as smoked meat from Maragogipe, flour from Copioba and licuri from Caatinga, as well as umbu, soft crab and many others. But the varied menu — served exclusively as a tasting menu — proposes a journey beyond the borders of the capital, seeking to combine flavors from the five biomes and 27 low-lying identity territories, to present the best of Bahia beyond palm oil. Ori

It is no coincidence that Ori, which means “head” in Yoruba, was the word chosen to name the second restaurant of chefs Fabrício Lemos and Lisiane Arouca, also owners of Origem. While in the first restaurant the gastronomic experience is guided by a set tasting menu, at Ori it is possible to make choices, share portions and repeat flavors. Regional ingredients are the stars of the menu, presented in recipes that surprise with their flavor and creativity. IG: @orisalvador

Fasano Restaurant Salvador

The gastronomic experience at Restaurante Fasano brings the legacy of Italian cuisine that bears the signature of restaurateur Gero Fasano. In addition to classic flagship dishes, such as veal ossobuco with white wine and herbs, and spaghetti alla carbonara, the menu also features local recipes, such as shrimp bobó, shrimp moqueca and crab shells. The kitchen is run by the experienced chef Bahia Brito, who has worked at the Group since 1990. IG: @fasano

Here you can taste a wide variety of sashimi, from salmon to tuna belly, sushi and nigiri, as well as hot dishes, such as teppan (grilled) dishes made with different types of fish, skewers made with robata and yakissobas.
